The border around the bamboo is painted white on the canvas to give it a striking contrast. The canvas panels are framed neatly on the back and are ready to hang when they arrive at your door. (Example of frame with black sides in pictures above) They hang like stretched canvas - no need to frame.

Encaustic is an amazing and unique medium for painting. It is layer upon layer of translucent pigmented wax. There is a light that comes from within that words cannot describe.
