Original Size: 48" X 48" X 1.5"
Medium: Acrylics with tones of Metallic and Iridescent paint

The Frederic C. Hamilton Building - Opened 2006 at 100 W. 14th Avenue Parkway, Denver, Colorado.

Designed by the Italian Architect Gio Ponti, the building was a nightmare to build and the painting was certainly a challenge. The building was complete in October 2006 and is constructed of panels of silver reflective metal, so of course I had to paint it. Most of this painting is painted with metallic or iridescent paint giving it a wonderful reflective feel.

As a contemporary artist, I dream of my paintings hanging in the best museums in the world. I painted this in the thought of realism, using my favorite medium and challenge to use, acrylic metallics. My added surrealism is the small door to the lower right. My secret entrance through the hidden door.
